OUR TEAM

OUR TEAM

The Baldivis Children's Forest is staffed by volunteers.

In 2018, the Baldivis Children's Forest undertook significant organisational restructures to move away from its previous grant-funded model, towards a self-sustaining volunteer model.

The Forest now operates in several sub-committees, reporting back to a larger management committee;

The sub-committees are the Friends of the Forest (FoF), Baldivis Children's Forest Youth (BCF Youth), Administration, Events, and Conservation.

The FoF is our senior volunteer group which mostly meets on Monday mornings to carry out maintenance tasks (i.e. retic management) at the Forest.

BCF Youth work with our in-house environmental scientist to study and record information about the multiple different species we have in the Forest, and the differences between the ecosystems that they live in.

Members in BCF range in age from 12 through to 24 and they meet regularly at the Forest over the weekends.

Presented herewith is a captivating video captured following the opening of the Judith Hill Wetland Conservation Node on 06 December 2022.
